Fabulously Frugal

I seriously refuse to pay full price for just about anything.

That’s just who I am.

I feel as though “things” are fun to have, but not my priority in this life and being a steward of God’s money is much more important. So I thrift.

A couple of times this past week I came across the store SAVERS through various blogs or conversations with friends and decided to check them out. I really didn’t know what to expect, as I had seen the store in my area and had assumed it was a discount store, not a thrift store. I was wrong, and I am glad I now know better! It is a great thrift store – organized clothing (by size and color), clean and non-stinky which is always a plus, and it just had an overall nice appeal.

I found a few good buys I thought I’d share!

coat

A fall jacket for $6.99 in a pretty sea foam green. I tried to make the color pop out, but it still doesn’t do it justice – believe me – it’s cute! Also, it's a little more figure flattering than it appears laid out on my floor...

shirt

A shirt from New York & Company for $4.99, it still had it’s original tag which was marked at $34.99 – SCORE!

candle

Of course I couldn’t pass up this black metal candle holder for $3.99, it’ll be perfect for a Halloween craft project. Stay tuned in the coming weeks!

hoops

These hoops really weren’t all that great of a deal, but I’d been needing to get some for a project I have planned for my oldest daughter’s room. It saved me a trip to a craft store!

books

And lastly a couple of books in perfect, new condition for my girls stockings. They were only a mere 69 cents each!

So there you have it! Some great finds and a couple of craft projects to get busy on before too long. Hopefully sharing them will hold me accountable to get them done sooner than later!

I’ll be linking this up over at Southern Hospitality and her thrifty blog party.
