Mine & Yours Monday - Monograms

As a weekly feature on From the Same Nest we present to you ‘Mine & Yours Monday’. Each week the two of us will choose an idea or a theme and develop our own unique craft project from it. These projects are intended to be as simple or as complex as we make them, but it will show you two different ideas each week, one from each of us. It too may show you some of our similarities and our differences as we will not be sharing our top secret plans with one another until the big reveal each Monday.

Michelle shares a simple framed monogram to welcome the Fall season. A printed monogram on coordinating scrapbook paper, then matted and framed took less than 5 minutes to complete. It’s a simple and inexpensive project that can be changed with each new season.

Maria had been looking for an easy way to bring the Fall inside over the past week, when she suddenly decided that a pumpkin is what her entryway needed! She doesn’t like cheesy holiday decor.... like haunted houses and creepy crawly spiders... so this is what she came up with--her family monogram on a pumpkin! The plan was to paint it on, but when she discovered that she had never cleaned her brushes after their last use she turned to her beloved sharpie. It works for her!
