Mine & Yours Monday - Frames

As a weekly feature on From the Same Nest we present to you ‘Mine & Yours Monday’. Each week the two of us will choose an idea or a theme and develop our own unique craft project from it. These projects are intended to be as simple or as complex as we make them, but it will show you two different ideas each week, one from each of us. It too may show you some of our similarities and our differences as we will not be sharing our top secret plans with one another until the big reveal each Monday.

Michelle had been wanting to make a sign for her older daughter’s bedroom door for quite a while. She took a boring quilt hoop and used it for the frame of her unique sign. A few simple embellishments and ta-da! This may just give you a sneak peek at what she has in store for the embroidery hoops shown here.

A few years ago, Maria found some frames on clearance at Hobby Lobby and has since become obsessed with decorating with them. She'll look for them at garage sales, thrift stores... anywhere! Her living room ceiling is about 14 feet high, so she needed to make statement. What better way to do it than with frames? Maria has gotten numerous compliments on this project that cost her only a couple bucks!

Next week’s theme project: Jars

We're sharing these projects over at ASPTL.

If you have a frame project you’d like to share, we’d love to see it! And we hope you join us next Monday with your unique jar project!

  1. I love that monogram embroidery hoop project, so cute! I linked up with a project that's not exactly a frame, but involves the frame around a cork bullentin board.
