Magazine Ladder

I have tons of magazines. I can’t seem to get rid of them because I love rereading them time and time again. Before we had a little one, they were stored in a basket under our coffee table. Now that our daughter gets into everything, nothing is safe…. especially my magazines.

They recently got moved to our counter top bar…. not a pleasant place. That has quickly become our junk spot. We walk in the door and everything gets tossed there. Just looking at it now makes me sick to my stomach.

Step one to cleaning it up was to find another place for my magazines.

My husband was nice enough to let me recruit him and his garage tools. I described the magazine ladder that I wanted and he got to work. We had leftover stain from our kitchen cabinets so all that we had to buy was the wood and some wood glue. This project cost us a grand total of $12. Not bad. While I was at the farmer’s market, he created this beauty.

I love the way it turned out. It hides nicely behind my sofa, but is still easily accessible.

Cute! I have a ladder in my living room right now. Love it totally - but I'm not using it for anything - other than hanging a wreath. My millions of magazines would love to be housed there. :) Way cute blog! I just love your header and background.
